Dogs Make Excellent Road Trip Companions

Dogs Make Excellent Road Trip Companions

According to a new report from the American Automobile Association, dogs are excellent travel companions.  The report notes that while dogs sometimes require extra stops for “walkies,” they’re also crackerjack license plate game players.  "Our research shows that it is usually the family dog that spots hard-to-find plates like Alaska and Puerto Rico first,“ said lead author Annamaria Dunseith.

Dunseith also told The Fluffington Post that 2 out of 3 children interviewed for the study indicated that they’d rather sit next to a dog than their little brother or sister on a long car trip.
