Puppy Shuttle to Add Late Night Service
The city announced this morning that the R27 Bus – the so-called “Puppy Shuttle” – will be adding late night service on Friday and Saturday starting in May.
“We’ve seen greater increase in demand the past month or so,” said Sara Herrera, an aide in the mayor’s office.
With more businesses opening downtown that cater to canines, there is a need for more bus service to and from those areas. The new late night weekend shuttle is expected to be an economic stimulater for the area.
“More puppies downtown on Friday and Saturday nights is a good thing,” said Herrera. “Dogs spend money. That’s a fact.”
