Critics Pan Dog’s Performance Art
Bash, a French Bulldog from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, spent four hours in the park standing completely still yesterday as part of a piece of performance art. But critics weren’t impressed.
A review in the online edition of local alt-weekly newspaper Voir called the performance “pedestrian” and “lacking soul.”
“It was supposed to be a viewport into the canine condition,” said Selena Pelletier, an artist an sometimes collaborator with the dog. “He rushed some of the planning, though, and yeah, it was a little flat. He knows it.”
