Local Pug Does Not Trust New Dog Walker

A local pug named Verne loved his old dog walker. He looked forward to each afternoon when Shelby would stop by the house, take him and his bother to the park, and then come back and give them each a piece of pepperoni.

But Shelby retired, and this new guy – Max – can’t be trusted. He’s always late and he never has cured meats.

“He thinks Max is up to no good,” said Lisa Mendoza, whose Alsatian Willy plays with the two puppies at the park. “He seems like a pleasant guy, but I guess those pugs were set in their ways. No one likes change.”
