Area Pug Goes Bonkers for Cupcakes

Penny the pug’s love of cupcakes has been a boon to Dot’s Cupcake palace on third – Penny’s local supplier – but it has nearly brought the pup to ruin.  Penny is reportedly on the brink of financial disaster due to her cupcake addiction.

“She’s obsessed with them,” says Dot Abernathy, proprietor of Dot’s Cupcake Palace.  "Penny is my best customer.  Even when friends try to tell her it’s the same as cake, just smaller, and that she could save money by buying a full-size cake instead of a dozen cupcakes… she won’t have any of it.  Heck, she won’t even list to me!“

According to Penny’s accountant, the pug will need to curb her cupcake habit soon or she may not be able to afford the rent on her ocean view dog house.
