Parakeets Prefer Mice to Trackpads
A consumer habits focus group conducted by Logitech found that parakeets generally prefer computer mice to track pads by a margin of four to one.
“Mice are much easier for them to maneuver,” says Sheila Daugherty, who headed up the survey. “There’s a lot more precision there, especially since parakeets don’t have opposable thumbs.”
While most parakeets only use computers for casual web surfing and email, the ratio shot up to seven to one when it came to power users – parakeets who do photo editing, video production, and gaming.
