Cat Busted for Having ‘Tetris’ On Her Graphing Calculator
AP Calculus had been the most boring class on Lola the kitty’s schedule this semester, until she loaded a Tetris clone onto her TI-89 graphing calculator. The discovery that her calculator could play games was a revelation for Lola and made the class many times more enjoyable, according to friends. Her teachers and parents were less enthused, however.
“I was mortified when I got the call from school. Shocked, really,” said Lola’s adoptive mom, Mary Snitker, of the call she received last week from a guidance counselor that Lola had been caught playing games during class. "She’s always done so well in school. Never used to get in trouble… but this is just unacceptable.“
Friends think Lola should be cut some slack. "She already has a full ride to UConn,” said lockermate and best friend forever, Judy Tan. “So she goofed off a little bit senior year. Whatever. Her parents need to chill.”

Local Dog Puts Finishing Touches on Spring Garden
If Bruce had thumbs, they would definitely be green.
The area pup recently finalized his landscaping and vegetable garden, and if last year’s crop was any indication, it should be another winner.
“A lot of work and attention to detail go into Bruce’s gardens,” says Moe Chandler, a source close to the situation. “We’re talking about award-winning beds here.”

Kitten Tries New Sock Diet
In an effort to shed those last few pounds before swimsuit season, a kitten named Toby is trying a new diet plan created by veterinarian and author Dr. Ray Sulcer.
“It’s a sock-only meal plan,” says Katie Griggs, Toby’s nutritionist. “Socks are high in fiber, low in fat, so it really helps you lose those pounds quickly.”
