Feline Duo Suspected in Sofa Cushion Theft

New Jersey police have reported the theft of a large, black sofa cushion with ribbed fabric upholstery. The top suspects at this time are Lola and Stella, a duo known for theft and other criminal activity in the area.

“One minute the cushion was there, right on the sofa,” says Regina Lathem, couch owner. “The next, it was gone. There’s a huge gap now, and I just know who’s responsible. It’s those cats. I’m sure of it.”

Authorities tell The Fluffington Post that a full and sweeping investigation is underway, though it has yet to produce any viable leads.

Cat Mentorship Program Off to ‘Great Start’

A new program that pairs experienced cats with troubled kittens has been lauded as a breakthrough for feline social services.

“The CatMatch mentorship has had a great start, and we’re already seeing positive results,” says program manager Wendy Holmes. “Kitten grades are up, detention rates are down, and the mentors are reporting a real sense of purpose and fulfillment.”

Holmes tells The Fluffington Post that they hope to expand the program this winter, pending funds from local municipalities and private donations.
