Puppy Is Literal Underdog in Tennis Ball Competition
An upcoming game of “tennis ball” that pits Chuey the Chihuahua against Z the Rottweiler is expected to be a very lopsided affair. Vegas oddsmakers expect Z to easily cover the historically large 40 point spread.
“Chuey is clearly the underdog here,” said ESPN tennis ball analyst Clark Baker, citing the dog’s small size as as major disadvantage. “But I wouldn’t totally count her out. She’s scrappy.”

Kitten Watches Entire First Season of ‘Homeland’ Upside-Down
Luna, a local kitty, has been meaning to catch up on Showtime’s runaway hit Homeland for months, but her tight schedule never allowed it.
“Things have been so crazy at her office,” says Cam Munroe, a source close to the situation. “She had the whole first season DVR’d, just no time to really get into it.”
That all changed Friday, when Luna took some comp time and laid upside-down in front of the TV for about 10 hours.
“She watched the whole season in one shot,” says Munroe. “I knew she’d love it. Not sure if it’s any different upside-down, but to each their own.”

Dog Sues Publisher Over Likeness in Children’s Book
A 9-week-old Boston Terrier named Zoe has brought a lawsuit against Wonder Books, publisher of the 1951 children’s classic The Playful Little Dog, after discovering the author used her likeness without permission.
“She doesn’t have much of a case,” says legal expert Gary Owens, who is following the lawsuit. “The book was written 63 years before she was born. Any judge with a calculator will be able to figure that out.”
Still, attorneys for the puppy are prepping opening arguments for February 20th.
