Boston Terrier Is First Dog to Scale Mount Everest
Reports from a base camp in Nepal confirm that an intrepid Boston Terrier named Richard has successfully reached the peak of the world’s tallest mountain.
“Richard set out to conquer Everest about three years ago,” the dog’s longtime friend and climbing partner Johnathan Bulcher tells The Fluffington Post. “We would train together a lot, but Everest wasn’t for me. I knew he’d have to tackle this one on his own.”
Taking one assistant and a Neapali sherpa as a guide, Richard set out on February 19th, and radioed back to base that he had reached the peak at 10:41 am local time today.
“I’m really proud of him,” says Bulcher. “He crossed that one off the bucket list.”

Chihuahua Toots in Team Meeting, Human Blamed for Smell
By Stacie Grissom, BarkBox Blogger
When 7-year-old Cricket Bean ate a piece of avocado out of the office trash can, she had no idea the havoc it would wreak on her tiny digestive system.
“We were sitting in the BarkBox office debating the imperative engineering qualities of the perfect squeaky toy when I smelled a smell so foul that I naturally assumed it was of a human source,” says Danielle Maveal, Cricket’s office mate. “I wrongfully accused my co-worker Rob, and our relationship hasn’t recovered since.”
No word if Cricket Bean plans to scavenge future snacks from the office trash.

Kitten Goes Rogue on School Picture Day
At the very last second, a kitten named Juniper called an audible and canceled the traditional blue background her parents had chosen for her school portraits.
“She was scratching at the form right before she handed it in,” says LifeTouch photographer Jerry Hahm. “I couldn’t prove that she had changed it to ‘Pink Serenade,’ so I hope her parents aren’t too upset.”
Juniper’s mother could not be reached for comment.
