Pup Lands Summer Job at Community Pool
Nougat, a Golden Retriever puppy who is currently visiting America from his home in Sydney, Australia, has landed a job at a local community pool.
The dog, who is reportedly an excellent swimmer and extremely personable, will be in charge of collecting all pool toys and storing them at the end of each day.
“He’s already improved our system,” said lifeguard Olivia Gallo. “We used to just throw everything into one big bin. But Nougat has developed a cataloging system – pool noodles with pool noodles, inflatable floaties with inflatable floaties, and so forth.”
According to Gallo, the puppy has taken to the job with gusto. In addition to the pool toy organizational system, he’s also made a number of friends among patrons.
“He’s a hit around here,” she said. “People are going to be really disappointed at the end of summer when he has to go back to Sydney.”

BREAKING: Cat Emerges from Hide-and-Seek Spot
After twelve hours brilliantly disguised in a potted plant, Snuffles the cat emerged this afternoon victorious in a game of hide-and-seek that had technically already ended.
“To be honest, we totally forgot he was playing,” said Greg Speizer, who organized the game. “We thought we’d found everyone and went to grab a bite to eat at Longhorn.”
Snuffles managed to go undetected for all four hours that the game was actually played, and for an additional eight hours after Speizer and crew had left for the steakhouse.
“He’s a great hider,” said Speizer. “I’ll give him that. He has an uncanny ability to stay perfectly still.”
