Shih Tzu Surprised With “Ice Bucket Challenge”, Gets Revenge

Last week, a puppy named Butterscotch was nominated to take the ALS ice bucket challenge by a coworker. Because she’s never been a big fan of water or swimming, so she opted to make a generous donation to the organization instead of being doused in cold water. 

Unfortunately for her, the coworker who put her up to the challenge, Elisa Rodriguez, decided that wasn’t good enough. So while sitting outside on lunch break yesterday, she surprised the Shih Tzu by dumping the requisite five gallons of freezing water over her friend’s head.

While drying off in the office, Butterscotch quickly sought revenge, hiding Rodriguez’s iPhone. She refused to return the smartphone until Rodriguez made $50 donations to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the (RED) Campaign.

Tiny Pig Inherits Vast Fortune

The long inheritance battle over the Piggy-Wiggy family estate came to a close last week when a judge awarded greater than 80% of the fortune to young heiress, Henrietta. Leaked court documents, obtained by The Fluffington Post, reveal just how much the pig stands to inherit.

According to financial records introduced by the pig and her lawyers, the Piggy-Wiggy estate is valued at between $70 and $90 million. That is easily the largest porcine fortune in the world, handily outstripping the pig who stared in the movie Babe, whose net worth is estimated at around $2 million.

The estate includes millions in cash and stock holdings, as well as a good deal of luxury real estate.

Notable residences that Henrietta can now call home include an 8-bedroom mansion in the wealthy enclave of Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA, a 15-bedroom, 12-bathroom “cottage” in Newport, RI and a 2,500 square foot condo on Central Park West, in New York, NY, valued at $12.5 million.

The pig could not be reached for comment.

Kitty Daredevil Performs Endurance Feat

According to her manager, Koko the cat is more than halfway through her latest feat of endurance, billed as ‘The Post of Doom.’ In interviews prior to the event, the cat had promised to stay atop her scratching post for five whole minutes.

“She’s been training for months,” says Sid Randolph. “Hopping up on the post, staying for a few seconds. Hopping back up on the post, staying for a few more seconds. It’s a lot more mental than physical.”

After completing the challenge, the cat will attempt a death-defying free-fall to the soft carpet below, and will then likely take a nap.

“You have to admire her fortitude,” says Randolph. “I mean, David Blaine did basically the same thing, but he wasn’t nearly as cute. Koko just takes it to a whole other level.”

The stunt will culminate in a live one-hour special on ABC, similar to the cat’s previous feat, ‘Cardboard Box of Insanity.’
