Nightclub Kerfuffle Leaves Doggie Pride Seriously Damaged

Animal Control officers responded to a commotion last night outside the Bow Wow Club around 11:25pm.  According to spectators, a small dog got into a beef with a bouncer at the establishment.  Reportedly, the two were fighting over an actual piece of beef and who got to eat it.  Neither pooch was injured in the incident, but the nightclub issued a statement this morning stating that the bouncer has been leashed, pending review.

Baby Seal Literally Redefines ‘Cute’

A baby seal has been discovered in South Georgia in the Sandwich Islands that is causing linguists to rethink current definitions of the word “cute.”  Current dictionary definitions of the term usually talk about cute thing being “pretty” or “attractive” in a “dainty” or “child-like” manner.  But experts argue that isn’t enough for this particular seal.

“This cuteness displayed in this baby seal is too much for the word to adequately described using its current definition,” said Aaron McLean of the Oxford Lexicographical Heritage Society.  According to McLean, dictionary editors are working on a new definition and hope it will be ready sometime in May 2014.

STUDY: Kittens Don’t Understand Non-Touch Computer Interfaces

By now you’ve probably seen the video of the human child who can’t figure out why a paper magazine doesn’t work like an iPad. It has been viewed over 3.4 million times on YouTube.  Futurists have pointed to it often over the past few months as evidence of the changing norms in media consumption.  But new research out of the Feline Computer Interaction Institute has found that today’s kittens – most of whom have grown up in a completely post-PC world – also find non-touch interfaces baffling.
