Mother/Son Cat Team Train for Gold in Synchronized Napping
You might say that Snootchie (left) and Bruno (right) are an unlikely athletic team. This mother/son duo consists of the first biologically related competitors to enter the Olympic tournament for synchronized napping, and after four years of training, many sports analysts predict they could take home the gold at this year’s London games.

Montana Pup Gets Bored on Fishing Trip
Andy, a 4-year-old Wheaten Terrier from Missoula, Montana, did not find this summer’s fishing trip all that exciting.
“There’s a lot of waiting, and a lot of quiet out here,” says Molly Beauford, the owner of a local bait and tackle shop. “Plus, we don’t get good cell service, so Andy couldn’t use his iPhone.”

Top Chef: Mice Make Excellent Salad Fixin’s
Eccentric New York chef Bobby Masters has come under fire after revealing his new dish, the “Mouse Salad,” in which he adds live mice to a Caesar.
“They are garnish, and not meant to be eaten,” Masters told the press after animal rights activists staged a protest outside his midtown restaurant. Skeptics are not convinced, and have called for a boycott of Masters’ establishments, which do business in seven countries.

“Pippy was a sweet little Vizsla puppy that I met during my stay at Forestry Camp in the summer of 2010. She belonged to one of the cooks, and I would spend hours training and playing with her whenever they brought her to the camp. Unfortunately she was involved in a fatal accident during the last week of classes. I’ll always remember her bright, inquisitive eyes, warm spirit and the time that I was able to spend with her during her time on this earth. RIP Pippy <3.”
