Sock Monkey Smothered by Kitten
In a shocking turn of events, an area sock monkey was found nearly smothered to death by an adorable kitten early Sunday morning. Fortunately, a neighbor had called 911, and the paramedics who arrived on the scene were able to resuscitate the home-sewn plush toy.

REPORT: Dogs Are Terrible at Building Snowmen
A survey out from the National Endowment for the Arts finds that most snowmen made by dogs rank between “fair” and “poor” in the categories of structure, presentation and overall likability.
The dogs surveyed, however, seemed satisfied with their work.

Tonka to Offer Free Puppy With Toy Trucks
In an effort to combat the rising dominance of video games, toy maker Tonka will be packaging adorable puppies with its large dump trucks starting in September – just in time for the holiday season.
“We want to make sure kids are interacting with their toys in real life – the old fashioned way,” says Tonka’s marketing director Amy Bard. “What better way to grab their attention away from Call of Honor 4 than with a fluffy little dog?”

HBO Spin-Off “Game of Bones” Scheduled for Production in Late 2012
The wildly popular HBO series Game of Thrones has spawned a new show, Game of Bones, which has been green-lit for filming in November 2012.
Featuring an all-puppy cast, Bones tells the story of a fictional medieval kingdom and the adorable pooches vying for power against a backdrop of war and political intrigue.
