Narcissistic Personality Disorder on the Rise Among Dogs
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the vainest of them all? Dogs, that’s who.
According to a new study from York University in Toronto, Canada, dogs are exhibiting 57% more narcissistic behaviors as a species then they were ten years ago.
“We think social media is an enabler and a root cause here,” said researcher Tom Anderson, no relation to the founder of MySpace. “You have this constant stream of canines telling each other how great they are, which just reinforces their narcissistic tendencies. We’ve seen the same thing in humans.”
