
Kitten Given Radio Show, Just Meows For an Hour
WNQW, a public radio station in Detroit, MI, broke historic ground this month as the first radio station in the country to grant air time to a cat. Unfortunately for non-feline listeners, DJ Buttons’s program consists mainly of meowing with the occasional purr.
“Buttons does absolutely adorable things in the booth all day long, but, I mean, it’s radio, so…” said station manager Cleve Moreland. "In retrospect, this might not have been our best move.“
