Schnauzer Lands Crossing Guard Job

Despite the tough economy, Tommy the dog had no trouble locking down a job as a crossing guard for one of the town’s busiest intersections.

“He’s been fetching things back and forth for years and his resume was solid,” says Mark Fowler of the town council. “It was really a no-brainer,”

But not everyone agrees.

“He can’t even tell red from green,” says Molly Tambor, a concerned member of the PTA. “How is he supposed to guide kids safely when he can’t even read the traffic light?”
