Dog Faces Fines for Skipping Pool Permits
In an effort to beat the record heat forecasted for this summer, a local dog named Chester installed his own swimming pool on the backyard deck.
“The project was a success, but there was one hitch,” says Adam Allehgenni, the dog’s neighbor. “A town inspector passed through on Thursday and dinged him with a fine.”
Chester had neglected to get any permits for his new addition, and his DIY construction violated seven town ordinances.
“It’s about $1,200 in fines,” says Allehgenni. “But Chester doesn’t seem to mind when he’s splashing around in his new pool.”
