Area Dog Embarks on Backyard Adventure

A local dog named Gumball has begun an ambitious exploration of the backyard under the auspices of Princess, the British Longhair kitten who rules the upstairs.  Gumball plans to circumnavigate the entire yard, from the side gate out to the trampoline, across to the sprinkler head and back around the front of the house by way of the rose bushes.

If all goes well, this journey should produce the most accurate map of the backyard territory to date and could reveal a faster land route to the bird feeder, information that may be vital to Princess in fending off challengers to her throne.

The trip is not without peril, however.  Rumor has it that the rose bushes are very thorny.
