Dog Wins $18k on ‘Guy’s Grocery Games’

After nailing the final round challenge in which he could only cook using dog food brands beginning with “C,” a Golden Retriever named Rufio walked away with $18,000 on Guy’s Grocery Games.

“The way he used the dry dog food as kind of a crouton his salad nicoise was really clever,” said judge and Food Network personality Melissa D’Arabian. “It added a little crunch that the dish needed.”

She added, “Though, honestly, I’m just impressed I kept down three rounds of eating dishes made from dog food. When then told me I was judging a theme episode I thought like ‘siblings’ or ‘celebrities,’ or something.”

Rufio was able to grab 9 of the 10 items needed in the winner’s scavenger hunt, missing only “Hamburger Squeaky Toy.”
