Dog Candidate Makes Last-Minute Campaign Push
By Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent
With the November elections just a few days away, Samson has been working overtime to ensure victory. The congressional candidate and dog has been campaigning feverishly in the past week, holding rallies, town hall meetings and other get-out-the-vote events. The dog even managed to squeeze in a visit to a local park yesterday to meet with constituents.
“He really understands the issues,” says area resident Martha Rowe. “He’s also the only candidate I know of who’s willing to stand up to vacuum cleaners. That speaks volumes.”
Samson’s campaign manager tells The Fluffington Post that the next few days will be crucial.
“We’re confident but not complacent,” says Gene Woodman. “The other candidates are doing all they can to detract from Samson’s record. It’s going to be a hard fight, but Samson is in it to win it. He’s also in it for the chauffeured limousine, but that will come later.”
