Dog Turns Party Trick Into Traveling Roadshow
A San Francisco, CA dog named Jack has long been a hit at family gatherings and cocktail parties.
“He can balance just about anything on his nose,” says Candice Yen, a source close to the situation. “Soup cans, footballs, cookies, you name it. People would give him a standing ovation at Game Night.”
It wasn’t long before Jack’s friend Mark Steinway saw an opportunity.
“I told him he’s too talented for these little parties,” Steinway tells The Fluffington Post. “He’s got to take that out on the road and make a name for himself.” Jack took Steinway’s advice, quitting his job in HR for a small publishing company and investing a chunk of his savings in a van, costumes, signage and a website.
“Stack on Jack was born, and we’re headed to 25 U.S. cities this summer,” says Steinway, who now serves as Jack’s tour manager. “There’s not a ton of money in these kinds of live shows, but we’re hoping for an endorsement deal to come through soon.”
