Cheetah Sets New World Record in 100-Meter Dash

Olympic runners have nothing on Sarah. The 11-year-old cheetah from the Cincinnati Zoo broke her own world record by running 100 meters in 5.95 seconds. By comparison, Jamaican Runner Usain Bolt set the fastest human record of 9.58 seconds at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin.

Sarah’s achievement was captured by National Geographic as part of its big cats documentary initiative: Cause An Upraor.
