STUDY: More Cats Are Forgoing College to Start Internet Businesses

It’s a boom time for cats on the Internet.  According to a new study from the Pew Center for Feline Life, a shocking 23% more cats in 2012 will opt to start Internet businesses instead of going to college than in 2011.  Experts attribute the jump to the popularity of cat-based Internet memes like LOLCats and the success of Internet celebrities like Maru and Sockington.

“The said truth,” warned Raymund Acevedo, director of research at Pew, “is that most of these new cat businesses will fail in their first year.  We should be encouraging our cats to stay in school and get a proper education.”
