Watch These Adorable Baby Owls Grow Up in Real Time

If there’s one thing Democrats and Republicans can agree on, it’s that owl chicks are adorable. If you need a break from making spreadsheets or talking to your family, we suggest tuning in to this live feed of a long-eared owl family from Missoula, MT.

This mama owl is very protective of her chicks, who are always up to some sort of feathery mischief. It’s like a sitcom, but with owls.

There are plenty more webcams to enjoy at Explore.org.

If you’re not watching the gutsy crime drama HUMMERCATZ, then you haven’t lived. It’s the story of a rag-tag team of cats who broke out of the pound, stole a HUMMER limousine, and play by their own rules.

This publication covered the show’s early episodes. It is now fortunate enough to be featured in Episode 5, “Back to the Pound.”

Watch it above, and be sure to subscribe to the HUMMERCATZ YouTube channel so you never miss any of the action.

Dog Turns Party Trick Into Traveling Roadshow

Dog Turns Party Trick Into Traveling Roadshow

A San Francisco, CA dog named Jack has long been a hit at family gatherings and cocktail parties.

“He can balance just about anything on his nose,” says Candice Yen, a source close to the situation. “Soup cans, footballs, cookies, you name it. People would give him a standing ovation at Game Night.”

It wasn’t long before Jack’s friend Mark Steinway saw an opportunity.

“I told him he’s too talented for these little parties,” Steinway tells The Fluffington Post. “He’s got to take that out on the road and make a name for himself.” Jack took Steinway’s advice, quitting his job in HR for a small publishing company and investing a chunk of his savings in a van, costumes, signage and a website.

“Stack on Jack was born, and we’re headed to 25 U.S. cities this summer,” says Steinway, who now serves as Jack’s tour manager. “There’s not a ton of money in these kinds of live shows, but we’re hoping for an endorsement deal to come through soon.”

Pup Launches Neighborhood Recycling Program

Pup Launches Neighborhood Recycling Program

A 5-month-old puppy named Otto was disappointed to learn that his area of Phoenix, AZ didn’t recycle plastic.

“They take metal and paper, but no plastic bottles,” says Johnathan Mitchell, Otto’s neighbor. “It’s 2013 for crying out loud, I don’t know what’s taken them so long.”

Rather than wait for the city government to act, Otto has taken the initiative and launched a localized plastic recycling program.

“He goes door to door collecting bottles,” says Mitchell. “He drives them to the closest processing center, which is on the other side of town. It’s a bit of a haul, but until we get more trucks or facilities in our neck of the woods, there will be a lot of plastic heading to the landfill. Otto’s on a mission to change that.”

Corgi Buys Homemade Hats on Etsy

A New Jersey corgi named Stanley has something of an addiction.

“He’s been known to order 25 hats online in one sitting,” says Raymond Marin, the dog’s roommate. His e-commerce platform of choice is Etsy, an online community where artists and craftspeople sell their handmade wares.

“He’s really into the crafty charm of homemade clothing,” says Marin. “He’s obsessed with it, actually. I’m talking about closets full of hats – most of them are made of felt or burlap. We’re talking lots of ribbons and glue guns, here.”
