Grown Guinea Pig Won’t Give Up Childhood Toy
A Dutch guinea pig named Indiana Jones is suffering from a bit of separation anxiety. He simply refuses to forego his favorite childhood Teddy bear.
“We’ve tried embarrassing him, bribing him – even an intervention,” says Charles Felkas, a close friend of Jones. “He just takes that thing everywhere he goes.”

Guinea Pig Refuses to Leave the House After Bad Haircut
Tickle, a 1-year-old guinea pig from San Francisco, CA, just wanted a little off the top. She was mortified to find that her stylist had totally botched her look.
“It was all uneven, frizzed out,” says Amanda Carter, a close friend. “She started crying and said she wouldn’t go out in public until it grew back in.”

Crafty Hamster Hitches Ride on Pekingese
An unnamed hamster was able to hitch a ride on the back of a Pekingese puppy early Thursday afternoon and travel at least 450 feet. "We’re not totally sure how long the little guy was on Gizmo’s back,“ said Alton Smythe, a source close to the situation, "but he had to have been there for at least 10 minutes before we noticed him. I think he got across most of the house and probably some of the backyard before that.”
The hamster is now in custody and being question by police. The puppy is resting at home with family, shaken up, but unharmed.

Hamster Becomes Youngest Rodent Admitted to Mensa
Abel, a hamster from Wilmington, DE, has been recognized as the youngest rodent ever admitted to Mensa, the international organization for those that score in the top two percent on a standardized intelligence test. The two-year-old hamster reportedly has an IQ of 164, and is able to consistently press the red lever for food while avoiding the green lever, which produces an unpleasant puff of air.
Abel is planning to attend Phillips Exeter Academy in the fall.
