Corgi Prepares for Epic Birthday Bash
by Anna Washenko, FluffPo Correspondent
To celebrate the transition from puppyhood to doghood, Detroit corgi Jackson has planned a birthday party of epic proportions. He’s rented out an entire dog park for all his closest friends, and even hired A-list party planner Carly Stevenson to help take care of all the details.
“Jackson told me he wanted an event on the scale of My Super Sweet Sixteen,” Stevenson said. “We’re going over the top: party hats designed by Marc Jacobs, catering by Pat LaFrieda meats, and a special performance by Iggy Azalea. He also tried to get a chocolate cake made by Duff Goldman, but he’s a dog, so that wasn’t going to fly.”
Cat Desperate to Upgrade From Flip-Phone
by Anna Washenko, FluffPo Correspondent
For years, Whiskers the cat has resisted the siren song of the smartphone. Insisting that she doesn’t need to always be on Facebook and that keypad texting really isn’t so bad, she has held on to her first ever cell phone.
Roommate Josh Myles said the reason for Whiskers’ hesitance to upgrade might be the nature of modern smartphone interfaces.
“She tried to play with a music app on my tablet, once, but it turns out claws are pretty unreliable for a touch interface,” he explained. “Plus, I mean, the RAZR was a pretty awesome cell phone when she got it. But that was 2005. It’s time to let go.”
Myles thinks Whiskers may finally be pining for an upgrade, however.
“I walked by her on the computer last night and she was looking at the iPhone 6 website, purring,” he said.

Dog De-Stresses After Rough Week
by Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent
After a particularly stressful week of submitting reports and reviewing spreadsheets, Knox the dog really needed to unwind.
“He works so hard, and never really makes time for himself,” says friend Chris Dippold. “When he didn’t answer any of my texts, I knew something was up.”
Indeed, Knox had designated last Saturday afternoon as official “me time.” That meant no calls, no texts, and certainly no emails. The pup headed straight to his local day spa for a mani-pedi, facial and scalp massage.
“He seemed totally relaxed when I saw him last weekend,” said Dippold. “I think I’m going to take some ‘me-time’ too – assuming that Groupon is still good.”
