Hamster Rests After Successful Art Opening
Keller the hamster celebrated a successful gallery show in New York City yesterday by taking a well deserved nap. The artist had a frantic week leading up to his first big show and slept little, said friends, but all that stress was worth it.
“He sold six paintings and scored two commissions,” said gallery owner Bailey Stanton.
The show also drew rave reviews from art critics at New York Magazine, The New York Times, and The Village Voice. Keller is currently planning a second show later this year in Los Angeles.

Local Kitty Takes a Spa Day
Being a cat is difficult. All the napping, all the sitting perfectly still and staring at the wall, all randomly freaking out and running up and down the stairs – it takes a lot of you.
It can also leave hard-working cats with some killer muscle aches. That’s why one local kitty named Jerzey decided to take a spa day earlier this week.
“She got the works,” said spa owner Julie Wakahisa. “Deep-tissue massage, mani/pedi, facial scrub, eucalyptus wrap – the works.”
Jerzey reportedly used a gift certificate she’d received at Christmas for the day of pampering.
