When Mia the dog built her yoga room it was intended as a relaxing retreat to practice the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga tradition she’s been studying for years. There’s only one problem: since building the room last year Mia has only done yoga in it twice.
“Most of the time she’s just in there napping,” said neighbor Kelly Saunders. “She’ll fire up some tabla-based EDM music, crawl under her quilts, and get some shut eye.”
Contractors who works on the room say they warned the dog this might happen.
“She made the place too relaxing, you know?” said Tony Gribralti, who installed a 200-gallon koi pond in the space. “All those pillows, the mood lighting, the built-in Bose audio system, the meditation pool. That’s a place to sleep, not to sweat.”

Inspired by popular Snapchat features, local DIY enthusiast and dog Rex has taken to creating IRL versions of his favorite filters and lenses.
“He’s a Snapchat maniac,” says Dolores Wilkens, a friend of the crafty pup. “He takes selfies on there all day long.”
It was only natural that he’d bring the aesthetic into his workshop. Among his most popular creations is the “flower crown” that many users of the service enjoy.
“It’s just a hobby for him right now,” says Wilkens. “But the minute he posted pics online, people started asking where they could get their own.”
There may be an Etsy shop in this pup’s future.
