BREAKING: Pup Loses Important Toy Under Fridge

It has been a tense 14 and a half hours at the Morgenstern household in upstate New York, but Buck, the family dog, has remained vigilant.

The bulldog lost his favorite toy under the fridge at 8:27pm local time last night and has been camped out awaiting its retrieval ever since, according to witnesses.

“It’s a rubber hamburger with a built-in squeaker,” said Sam Morgenstern, who lives at the house with Buck. “He’s had it since he was a puppy.”

Morgenstern attempted to retrieve the toy using a long kitchen spoon, but ultimately just pushed it further back under the fridge. He also notified the local fire and rescue, but was told to, “stop calling unless there was a real emergency.”

“I’m not sure what we’ll do, but we’re going to figure something out,” said Morgenstern. His next step will be to reach out to experts at the local university to gather ideas for how to recover the toy.

Meanwhile, Buck the bulldog will keep watch.
