Dog Rescues Tennis Ball from Crevasse
Oliver, a Golden Retriever from the Boston, MA area, has rescued a family of five tennis balls that had fallen into a crevasse that opened up near his house.
“The snow has been so bad here this winter that we’re starting to see a massive ice sheet form in the backyard,” said Oliver’s roommate James McCalla. “It’s dangerous out there – you never know where the ice might split open. It’s three feet deep in most places. Sometimes even three and a half.”
According to McCalla, Oliver noticed that tennis balls at the bottom of one crevasse while out on “walkies.”
“He didn’t even hesitate,” said McCalla. “He just dove right in and rescued the balls. He’s a hero, if you ask me. They’d have been out there until spring if not for Ollie.”
Local media is reporting that the tennis balls are now resting comfortably in Oliver’s doggy bed.

Dog Conquers World; Still Feels Empty Inside
Bow to your new master, Putnam the dog. According to reports out of Nepal, the seven-year-old pup has completed his quest to conquer the majority of the known world.
“His claims are legitimate, as far as we can tell,” said United Nations international conquest expert Rasmus Møller. “We’re still doing some checking, but it seems airtight. Legally speaking, I mean. Putnam’s our new overlord.”
But while the dog may now rule over most of the planet, rumors suggest that he’s not as happy as he thought he would be.
“He thought if he took over Earth, he’d be happy,” one advisor told The Fluffington Post on the condition of anonymity. “But as it turns out, world domination wasn’t what was missing from his life. To be honest, I think he might have been happier with a new chew toy or two. Maybe a change to a higher protein kibble.”

Orphan Piglet Adopted by Pit Bull
A New Jersey piglet named Fate has been legally adopted by a pit bull, according to custody records obtained by The Fluffington Post.
Paperwork filed February 5, 2015 name Chronic the new legal guardian of the orphaned piggy, who misplaced his parents over Christmas break.
“He has eight siblings,” says Trisha Cornwall, a source close to the situation. “I don’t think his parents will even notice he’s missing.”
Meanwhile, Fate and Chronic have been getting along swimmingly.
“There’s a lot of cuddling, I’ll just say that,” says Cornwall.

Puppy Proposes New State Seal for Tennessee
Memphis area pup Roscoe is preparing to propose a new state seal, according to people close to the dog. The current state seal was adopted in 1801 and highlights Tennessee’s agricultural history.
“Roscoe feels that the current seal, while nice, is in need of an update,” said a source close to the situation. “It’s been around for what, 215 years?”
According to friends of the puppy, the dog thinks that in order to attract more millennials to the state, Tennessee needs a more youthful image.
“What’s more youthful than an adorable puppy?” said one close advisor.
Roscoe plans to present his new seal to the state congress during the next legislative session.
