Experts: When a Giant Dog Needs to Use the Shower, Let Him

After running numerous experiments and hypothetical scenarios, researchers at Dartmouth College have concluded that if a giant, 170-pound dog wants to use your shower, you shouldn’t give him any trouble about it.

“A dog like that is just going to do whatever it is he’s going to do,” says Dr. Christian Knopf, an animal psychologist who spearheaded the research. “I mean, you could try to talk him out of it, but we wouldn’t recommend that.”

Schnauzer Lands Crossing Guard Job

Despite the tough economy, Tommy the dog had no trouble locking down a job as a crossing guard for one of the town’s busiest intersections.

“He’s been fetching things back and forth for years and his resume was solid,” says Mark Fowler of the town council. “It was really a no-brainer,”

But not everyone agrees.

“He can’t even tell red from green,” says Molly Tambor, a concerned member of the PTA. “How is he supposed to guide kids safely when he can’t even read the traffic light?”

A Pomeranian named Taro has been engaged in an epic staring contest with an errant dog treat that missed his mouth and landed on the floor.

“He doesn’t want to be the first to blink,” says Nelson Sheeler, a source familiar with the situation. “But it’s going on two hours now. I think he’s going to cave.”
