A pup named Snowpea has been blasted by friends and colleagues as a “know it all,” and when it comes to riding in the car, a tenacious “backseat driver.”

“Nobody wants to carpool with him anymore,” says Miranda Peterson, who attended a chemistry class with Snowpea last semester. “He’s all like, ‘you should start turning earlier,’ and ‘stop braking so hard, it’s bad for your suspension.’ He does pony up for gas money, but honestly, it’s not worth it anymore.”

While many have criticized Snowpea’s approach, some, like his roommate Evan Goldreich, have come to his defense.

“He just wants to be helpful,” Goldreich tells The Fluffington Post. “Is he super annoying? Sure. But it’s coming from a place of love.”

Though Madison County, Iowa is generally best known for its covered bridges, immortalized in the 1992 best-seller, The Bridges of Madison County and subsequent Clint Eastwood/Meryl Streep film adaptation of the same name, there is another attraction worth checking out. Lesser known than the people-sized bridges, though equally impressive, the county is home to at least seven covered doghouses.

“The doghouses were built in the late 1880s to early 1890s,” said county historian Benton Cox. “There were originally over twenty, but fire and disrepair have dwindled that number over the years.”

The remaining bridges are all on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and are a favorite among Iowa State University architecture students.

A shake-up at one of the hottest messaging app startups of 2015 has employees and investors reeling.

Programmer and serial entrepreneur Enzo has departed SnackChat, the mobile client that lets users send pictures of bacon and peanut butter to each other, which he co-founded. The reasons are still coming to light, but sources close to the situation tell The Fluffington Post that he has been at odds with his co-founder and the board of directors over the direction of the app for some time.

“I know he had a lot of beef with Mittens,” a former employee of the company tells us, under condition of anonymity, referring to the company’s feline CFO. “Enzo really wanted to add a pork feature, and Mittens was pushing for tuna messaging. I’m not saying that was the whole disagreement, but it was probably the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
