Puppy ‘Thrilled’ at News of Lavigne/Kroeger Engagement

Haters may hate, but there’s at least one puppy who was happy to hear about the engagement of singers Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger.

“Ollie is over the moon,” says Carol Fletcher, a close friend. “He’s a huge fan of crappy music, so it was a big deal when he found out.”

Dog Wins All the Awards

A local pup named Chico has reportedly won all available awards.  A clean sweep.

“Best fur-do, top fetcher, fastest time to nom a rawhide bone, you name it, Chico won it,” said Angel Muñoz, who chairs the committee that gives out the awards.  "Chico is now the most decorated dog in history, having won 22 awards in the past three years.“

Chico plans to retire after this season and is considering writing a memoir, according to his publicist.

Pug Annoys Facebook Friends With Emo Song Lyrics

Bobby the pug used to have more than 300 friends on Facebook. That is, until he starting posting “emo” song lyrics in his status without context or attribution.

“Dude, if you’re upset about something, just say so,” says Bobby’s former Facebook friend Jon Demasi. “What’s with the cryptic quotes all day long?”

Dog Demands Funnies Section

A tie up in the kitchen this morning caused considerable delays in getting to work, and now word is coming through that the culprit was the dog.  

“She wouldn’t budge until someone gave her a copy of the comics,” said one eye witness.  "She already had the sports and business sections, so she was just being greedy.“

According to reports, the standoff lasted a full 20 minutes until the funny pages could be found, and by that time the coffee had gone cold.  Brewing another pot added an additional 10-15 minutes to this morning’s commute.   Earlier this month the dog caused a similar delay after allegedly knocking an entire bowl of kibble on the floor.  She is due in living room court this Saturday to answer a summons for that incident.

There has been no word yet on any possible punishment being meted out for this morning’s debacle, though police say no arrest is likely forthcoming.
