Dog’s Cat Hat Turning Heads

Local dog Arwen has an unusual choice of headwear: her close friend, Mickey the cat.  While some claim Arwen’s strange fashion decision is the result of a misreading of classic children’s book The Cat In the Hat, which was part of her summer reading assignment, others think she’s just making a statement.

“Arwen has always been fashion forward,” said school chum Milly Tesla.  "I think she’s pulling it off.  Plus, Mickey is being a really good sport about it.“

Pug’s One Dog Show Goes On Despite Snow

Even with a layer of snow blanketing the ground, for one area pug the show must go on.  According to stage manager Colum O’Tierney, Puggles will perform the show at the company’s outdoor theater once this evening, twice on Saturday and a final matinee showing on Sunday afternoon.  

“Puggles has been working too long and too hard on his one-dog retelling of MacBeth to let a little snow get in the way,” said O’Tierney.

Local Dog Just Can’t Get Comfortable on the Couch

An area pup named Bootsie is having a difficult time getting to sleep while crashing on a neighbor’s couch.

“He’s having some renovations done at his pad,” says couch owner Terry Gothard. “I told him he could stay with me until it’s done, but he just keeps tossing and turning all night, and then he’s like a zombie in the morning. I won’t say I regret the offer, but it’s getting pretty annoying.”

Judges Floored by ‘America’s Cutest Puppy’ Audition Tape

Auditions for season 11 of the hit FOX reality show America’s Cutest Puppy are underway, and a source close to the executive producer tells The Fluffington Post that they have received a major contender.

“Her name is Moxie, she’s a King Charles Cavalier, and she might have this contest sewn up before it even begins,” says Angela, who would only reveal her first name, as employees of the show are not allowed to comment on the selection process. “I hate to say it, but these other puppies don’t even stand a chance.”
