NBA Scouts Seen at Corgi Street Ball League Game

According to ESPN, scouts from at least three NBA teams were seen at a corgi street ball game in Chicago over the weekend.

The scouts were most likely in attendance to watch Izzy, who currently leads the league in scoring and is known for his acrobatic dunks.

“Izzy is a special talent,” said ESPN dog basketball correspondent Tyler Adams. “He has a strong inside move and a sweet mid-range jumper. It’s not a surprise he’s getting looks from the NBA.”

Izzy’s next game is Saturday at a court Hyde Park.

Puppy Sees First Ice Cream Truck

According to reports, Greta the puppy has spotted an ice cream truck for the first time. Sources on the ground confirm that the pup has successfully identified the vehicle and is now running toward it at full speed.

“Whoa, look at her go!” says neighbor Greg Quinn. “I wonder what she’s going to get – maybe a sno-cone, or a fudgesicle… or maybe one of those Pink Panther pops with the gumballs for the eyes. Do they still make those? Either way, she looks pretty hungry.”

Greta was reported to be out on her afternoon walk when the familiar strains of Scott Joplin’s “The Entertainer” caught her ear.

“Oh, boy. Once she heard that, it was all over,” says Helen Lloyd, a close friend. “Of course she doesn’t know that song, because she’s a dog. She still had to see what it was, though.”

When asked what Greta was after exactly, Lloyd could only speculate.

“I have no idea,” says Lloyd. “Maybe it’s one of those Choco Tacos. Or Push-Ups – those are nice. Or maybe it’s one of those Ninja Turtle pops with the gumballs for the eyes. It could be anything, really.”

At press time, The Fluffington Post could not confirm the puppy’s selection as she was still waiting in line.

Dog Uses Google Hangouts to Chat With Friends

Though Libby the dog still prefers Facebook for general social media, she loves using Google Hangouts to keep in touch with friends across the country.

“There’s Todd the pug in San Francisco, Angus the Boston terrier in Seattle, Winnie the samoyed in Miami, Jeffy the Yorkie in St. Louis,” said Tony Delbaron, a source close to the husky. “Libby can chat with all of them at once over the Google. She on there almost every night.”

Billy Gibbons of ‘ZZ Top’ Congratulates Dog on ‘Epic’ Beard

Billy Gibbons knows a thing or two about great beards. The ZZ Top frontman’s illustrious mane has been his trademark for years (well, along with bad ass guitar licks). That’s why Credence the dog was so elated when he received a call from Gibbons last night.

“I guess it started last week when Credence had his picture in the paper for a story on some volunteer work he does,” explained Sam Whitten, a close friend of the pup. “Then someone posted the photo to Reddit with a caption about how crazy his beard was and it kind of blew up. I guess it eventually got to Mr. Gibbons.”

According Whitten, the dog was completely floored when the phone rang and Gibbons was on the line.

“He thought it was a prank,” said Whitten. “That’s like the godfather of bitchin’ beards, right there. So that’s huge.”

Deleted ‘Jurassic Park’ Scene Reveals Puppy Sub Plot

Newly discovered film from the Steven Spielberg Archives has Jurassic Park fans reeling Friday morning. It appears the director had toyed with the idea of including a Maltese puppy character named Milo, but left his scenes on the cutting room floor.

 “The scenes were basically just re-cuts of the original shots, but with an adorable puppy,“ says film historian Ronald Buff. “At the end of the day, I think Spielberg was worried it would feel like pandering.”

There are rumors that the deleted puppy scenes will appear on a director’s cut Blu-ray, due out later this year, but Universal Pictures would neither confirm or deny at press time.
