Labrador Retrievers Are Replacing American Workers in Droves

February 12, 2012 · Leave a Comment

A new report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics finds that a growing number of employers are cutting costs by hiring Labrador Retrievers instead of humans for administrative jobs.

The cost/benefit gains on Retriever labor are apparent: They work for kibble, they don’t complain, and they rarely insist on matching 401k contributions.

Dog Focus Groups Did Not Respond Favorably to Super Bowl Ads

February 10, 2012 · Leave a Comment

Advertisers spend millions to ensure their Super Bowl TV spots will be well-received by humans. But what about dogs?

After all, dogs make 67% of household purchasing decisions, according to an incredibly flawed survey by eMarketer.

In focus groups like the one recorded above, cultural references to Star Wars and Jerry Seinfeld were sadly lost on most dogs. Beatrice the bulldog, for example, reported no intention of buying a Volkswagen after seeing its latest spot. She’s more of a Mercedes girl, anyway.

3.5-Month-Old Polar Bear Cub Takes Toronto Zoo by Storm

February 9, 2012 · Leave a Comment

A yet-unnamed polar bear cub, who was rejected by his mother at birth, has survived to the robust age of 3.5 months and made his debut at the Toronto Zoo. The adorable fuzzball sure is playful, and exhibits no signs of one day growing into a bloodthirsty, seal-killing machine.

You can enter a contest to name the little guy. May we suggest “White Thunder.”

Rogue Journalist Lambastes The Fluffington Post via YouTube

February 9, 2012 · Leave a Comment

If you’ve been following our every move (and why wouldn’t you, really?), you might be aware of the intensifying cat fight between this publication and “journalist” Michael Nuñez of the International Business Times.

The latest salvo by Mr. Nuñez (featured above) can only be described as a pitiful attempt to salvage an already fleeting limelight. Whatever shreds of journalistic integrity Mr. Nuñez had were surely discarded when he recorded this video missive from his parents’ basement.

The Fluffington Post categorically denies these accusations, and remains committed to bringing you the best in cute animal journalism.

Cat Crashes Pro Soccer Match, Scores Zero Points

February 8, 2012 · Leave a Comment

A cat took to the field during Monday’s Liverpool-Tottenham Hotspur fútbol match, but failed to score any points. In fact, he neglected to even kick the ball.

Many sports analysts agree that this cat kinda sucks at soccer, despite his exorbitant salary.
