Hot on the heels of a vicious attack ad that slams canines, a PAC known as the Committee to Elect Dogs fired back with its own that paints the “fat cats on Wall Street” as greedy opportunists, out of touch with traditional American values.
“When navy seals went to take down Osama bin Laden, did they take a cat with them?” the ad asks rhetorically. “No. They took a dog.”

As political convention season looms large, the parties’ vicious attacks show no sign of abating. While many candidates have produced their own ads, political action committees with buckets of money have taken to the web and airwaves to launch targeted smear campaigns.
A group known as Cats for World Domination (CFWD) has commissioned the ad above, which calls the opposition Dog Party out on allegations of “pay for play” and various poop-related incidents.
The Fluffington Post could not reach CFWD for comment, but many inside the Beltway and in media circles have criticized the ad as “negative” and “baseless.”

In a move that sent shock waves through the public radio community, Chicago member station WBEZ released a video showing the true identities of Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! host Peter Sagal and panelist Paula Poundstone. The Fluffington Post now has conclusive evidence that, after 14 years on the air, the popular NPR news quiz is in fact run by talking cats.
“They’re always behind those microphones. You never actually see what they look like,” says Madeline Carlyle, a regular NPR listener who was angered by the revelation. “This is really just shocking. I’m not sure if I can listen to the show the same way again.”
It appears the unmasking of the kitties is a stunt, aimed at drumming up support for the station’s ongoing pledge drive, though we suspect the listener backlash to this 14-year lie will outweigh the publicity.
