In contradiction to long held beliefs, new research out of Wales indicates that billy goats are not as gruff as once thought. "It’s a common misconception about goats that they are rather surly,“ says Dr. Elwydd Winchester of Cardiff University, who has been studying goats in their natural habitat for over 15 years. "In fact, billy goats are gentle creatures. We believe it is their voracious appetites that led to the erroneous reputation for gruffness.”

A polar bear working at a local area zoo is sick of all the office chit-chat. He doesn’t want to talk about the Republican primaries, he doesn’t care about the Pauly D spinoff show, and, yes, he has opinions about the Mad Men season premiere, but he doesn’t care to share them with colleagues.
“He just wants to come to work, do his job, and go home to his family, without all of that forced water cooler socializing. Is that so much to ask?” says the bear’s union rep, Tony Gagliotti.

Polar Bear Synchronized Swimming Team Ready for Olympics
This year, says team coach Thomas Scott, America is “taking home the gold” in polar bear synchronized swimming. The team has been practicing almost non-stop at the Bronx Zoo since August and has their tightly timed routine almost perfected, according to team sources.
The American squad will be leaving for London in June, hoping that the extra time in the pools at the Olympic Aquatics Centre will give them an edge when the games kick off in late July.
