Cat Builds Fort, Bars Dogs from Entry
A cat living on the Lower East Side in Manhattan, NY is reportedly not allowing dogs entry into what on-lookers are calling a “super cool pillow and blanket fort.” Area canines are up in arms over being barred from the exclusive club and are said to be considering legal action. The cat, meanwhile, has met those threats with mild disdain, thumbing his nose as the controversy by sleeping in the fort 22 hours each day.

Pick Your Own Seafood Bar Big Hit Among Cats
When the Olive Garden restaurant chain debuted its new “Pick Your Own” seafood bar at its Billing, MT location in December, many critics scoffed. "Who wants to hunt their own food? People go to Olive Garden for the family atmosphere – bowls of salad and breadsticks on the table, not tanks of seafood in the lobby,“ chided a particularly scathing report in USA Today.
But what those pundits apparently failed to realize is that Olive Garden’s number one area of customer growth comes from cats. "We’ve seen feline reservations up 440% since launching the pilot program in Billings,” says a spokesperson for Darden Concepts, which owns the Olive Garden chain. According to Darden, the “Pick Your Own” seafood bar has been such a success, that it will be expanded nationwide starting in June.

Area Cat Fired from Shoe Store
An area cat has been fired from a local Foot Locker shoe store for “poor on the job performance,” The Fluffington Post has learned.
According to one assistant manager who spoke to us on the condition of anonymity, “Our real mistake here was hiring a cat. It became clear within the first few weeks working here that she had no idea how shoes work. I really don’t understand why we kept her on for three years.”
