Cats Sublet Dog Crate by the Hour
Reasonably priced rental space is hard to come by in New York. That’s why Brooklyn cats Miko and Willow opt to sublet from their neighbor, a dog named Ranger.
“Ranger’s a busy guy,” says Emily Banks, a source close to the situation. “He’s not using his crate 24/7, so he makes a little money on the side and the cats have a place to live while he’s out for a walk. Everybody wins.”
Kitty Cocktail Craze Hits New York

The New York City cocktail scene got a fresh jolt this week as an exciting new drink made its debut. Dubbed the “Kit-Tini,” the shaken concoction has all the elements of the classic martini, with a feline twist.
“It’s a pretty simple drink,” says Sage Walters, head mixologist at Dram in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, preparing one for a patron. “Some gin, vermouth, a twist of lemon. You shake it up, strain it – then you take a cute little cat and just put it right there next to the glass. It really adds a nice touch.”
By all indications, the Kit-Tini is a big hit. "We can’t mix enough of them,“ says Walters. "It does get a little awkward when we have to tell people they can’t keep the cat. But mostly, they’re cool about it.”

Cats Get Together to Watch NBA Finals
When Spike, Ted and Muffin discovered they all love basketball, Muffin invited his pals over to watch game three of the NBA finals.
The series between the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder is tied one to one, and the cats are split. Spike and Ted are squarely in the Heat’s camp, while Muffin is partial to the Thunder (though his home team is the Denver Nuggets). They anticipate an amicable viewing party.
“As long as they’re watching on Muffin’s 50” plasma, they’ll be fine,“ says Neil Beckler, a family friend.

Missing Cat Found Alive in Amazon Rainforest
An Atlanta, GA cat named Kili, who has been missing for three years, was found alive in the Peruvian rainforest on Sunday. Rescuers identified the kitty by his distinct markings.
“We’ve been following his trail since 2009,” says Darren Cassidy of the Pet Rescue Network. “Seems he chartered a boat from Florida, landed in Brazil and headed into the Amazon from there.”
Kili was in fine health, according to Cassidy. “His survival skills are excellent. We found a little hut made from vines and canopy leaves. There was plenty of food, too. He didn’t really want to leave.”
