Kitten-Puppy Face-Off Drags Into 5th Hour
Though they have never actually met face-to-face, the Maeby the cat, who rules over 124 Elm St. and Harry the dog, whose dominion includes 126 Elm St., are mortal enemies. The two have been locked in a stare-down for five solid hours, according to sources.
“It’s unlikely that we’ll see a conclusion to this episode any time soon,” said Tamron Khalifa, senior Washington Post pet politics analyst. "Maeby and Harry both have legitimate claims on the border area between their two estates. There has been tension here for generations.“
The current flare up came after Harry’s favorite ball was accidentally thrown into Maeby’s yard and the cat refused to return it, invoking the ancient writ of "finders keepers.”

Cat Suspects She May Have Rented Too Much Office Space
When Gazo the cat signed a lease for her swanky Midtown Manhatten office condo, she anticipated that she’d fill it within the year. But things at her yarn enthusiast social media startup haven’t got as planned.
“She’s still on track to turn a profit next quarter,” an source close to the situation tells The Fluffington Post, “but barely. She’s not able to expand the workforce the way she wanted. She was planning to have a full internal sales team by now.”
Industry analysts worry that the extravagant office space might become a drain on company finances. Rumors indicate that Gazo is trying to raise a bridge round of financing to get to Q1 of next year, but investors may be hesitant to put faith in her leadership after the office fiasco.
“She really needs to find a good operations person so she can focus on product,” counsels our source.

Cat Fraternity Accepts New Pledge Class
Phi Kappa Meow, the infamous feline fraternity known for its wild parties and dangerous hazing rituals, has accepted a new class of pledges. The 16 would-be frat cats will be enduring the grueling trials of pledge week until Friday.
“Those cats are crazy!” said Tania Nimmo, ‘14, by email. "I don’t know why anyone would want to go through what they make those pledges do. Their parties are off the hook, though.“
The photo above was taken by the Campus News Service of a pledge who passed out in the dean’s office after hours. The University is considering disciplinary action against the fraternity.

Kitten Wins Awards for Scrapbooking
Most people think of scrapbooking as a hobby best practiced by those with opposable thumbs. Balthazar the cat is blowing up all those old preconceptions.
“His technique is beyond his years,” said scrapbooking expert Tammy Weingarten, who edits ScrapBlog.net. "His cropping is impeccable and his layouts are superb.“
Balthazar recently won the Palme d’Or at the Grand Prix de Scrappinaire in France, becoming the first cat to do so. The kitten has also reportedly attracted sponsorship inquiries from craft tools supplier Sizzix.
