Puppy Is Reportedly Not Impressed
According to reports out of Seattle, Howie, a Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix, is completely underwhelmed this morning. Friends have tried everything to break Howie out of his funk, but he’s simple uninterested in anything presented to him.
“We’ve tried giving him treats, taking him for walks, throwing his favorite ball around – nothing,” said Lorraine Hicks. “He’s just indifferent to everything.”
No one is quite sure why the dog is so unenthused.
“I mean, the Mariners landed Robinson Cano, the Seahawks are in the Super Bowl, everything is coming up Howie,” said Hicks of the pup, who is apparently a huge local sports fan. “I don’t get why he’s so aloof.”
Hicks hopes that it’s just a temporary malaise and will blow over soon.

Dog Scores #1 Hit with ‘I Whip My Tail Back and Forth’
Yoshi the dog is flying high this morning after it was revealed his breakout single, “I Whip My Tail Back and Forth” has climbed to number one on the Billboard pop charts. At just 18 months old, he is the youngest puppy artist to have a number one hit.
The single, which was released on January 1, has already sold 350,000 copies on iTunes, and is the second bestselling ringtone on Verizon after “Royals” by Lorde.
“Yoshi really came out of nowhere,” said Rose Cook, music editor at Flavorwire. “His first single goes to number one in a couple of weeks, and now you can’t go anywhere without hearing it.”
Some pundits think that Yoshi was snubbed at this year’s Grammy Awards, where they think he deserved a nomination for either Record of the Year or Best New Artist. But even lacking a Grammy nod, it will be hard to escape the dog’s fist pumping tune this year: it has already been selected as the official warm up song for Team USA at the Sochi Olympic Games.

Puppy Strikes the Tennis Ball Motherlode
A puppy named Dexter has acquired what local media is reporting as the “biggest haul of tennis balls ever purchased at an estate sale.”
“He really hit the jackpot,” said Terrence Winnell, an appraiser of antique sports equipment. “I mean, I’ve never seen a trove of balls like that. And for what he paid? It’s unheard of.”
The dog is reportedly planning to “play his tail off” over the next few months and chew each ball to smithereens.
In addition to the balls, the estate Dexter purchased included a number of rare books and first editions, which he also plans to chew.
