Dog Really Into Beer Gardens For Happy Hour

Washington, DC resident Winnie the dog has been having a stressful summer at the office, often tempted to play hooky to enjoy the warm weather. In order to avoid losing her job, she’s found a way to enjoy the outdoors without skipping work: frequent the city’s outdoor beer gardens for happy hour.

Being able to unwind and to enjoy a frosty cold one have made a huge difference in her quality of life, according to friends.

Coworker Nikki Mayer has been accompanying Winnie on many five o’clock outings.

“There are no windows in our office, so having a chance to get some sunshine on a patio or back garden is amazing,” she said. 

The pair have made it their mission this summer to visit every beer garden in the greater DC area so that they’ll know in advance where they’ll want to celebrate Octoberfest.

Shih Tzu Surprised With “Ice Bucket Challenge”, Gets Revenge

Last week, a puppy named Butterscotch was nominated to take the ALS ice bucket challenge by a coworker. Because she’s never been a big fan of water or swimming, so she opted to make a generous donation to the organization instead of being doused in cold water. 

Unfortunately for her, the coworker who put her up to the challenge, Elisa Rodriguez, decided that wasn’t good enough. So while sitting outside on lunch break yesterday, she surprised the Shih Tzu by dumping the requisite five gallons of freezing water over her friend’s head.

While drying off in the office, Butterscotch quickly sought revenge, hiding Rodriguez’s iPhone. She refused to return the smartphone until Rodriguez made $50 donations to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the (RED) Campaign.
