Puppy Successfully Plays for 5 Hours Straight
Bianca had been cooped up in the house all weekend due to rain, so on Monday afternoon when the sun finally came out, her mother kicked her out with instructions not to come back until dinner. Always a headstrong and confident puppy, Bianca wasn’t fazed. Five hours of play? Easy.
It was a lot harder than she anticipated.
“By around 4 PM she started to drag,” said neighbor Willis Thompson. "I could tell she wasn’t used to this kind of extended playing – she clearly hasn’t been training.“
Bianca rallied, though, and was able to make it the full five hours until dinner at 6 o’clock. The exhausted dog ate two full bowls of puppy chow before going to sleep.
"I don’t blame her mother,” said Thompson. “A puppy that’s been indoors all weekend can get mighty fussy. But I think Bianca bit off more than she could chew. She’ll definitely stretch before trying to play that much in the future. I’m sure she’ll be feeling this one tomorrow.”
