Researchers Develop Method to Harness Puppy Energy
Puppies could be the solution to the world’s energy problems, according to researchers from the University of West Staffordshire in Great Britain. A team there claims to have developed a way to harness excess energy given off by puppies and convert it into usable electric power.
“The key is to take the kinetic energy of a puppy at play and then feed it into a low density battery for storage and trasport,” said researcher Alan Fwickle. “Then it’s just a matter of offloading it into a cooling tower where it heats water to create steam and spins turbines.”
If the team’s research can be validated, it could be a boon for the clean energy industry.
According to Fwickle there are enough dogs in the world to meet all of the energy needs of Western Europe.
