Confused Puppy Thinks She’s a Hamster
Gracie, a puppy from Long Island, NY, is going through a phase.
After watching one episode of The Real Hamsters of Peoria on Animal Planet, she has begun imitating the stars’ behavior and claiming that she is, in fact, a hamster herself. Gracie’s been sipping from a water drip and storing seeds in her cheeks for days.

“This sort of emulation is common in young dogs,” says Charlene Fogel, a noted puppy psychologist. “Sometimes they want to be Spider-man, sometimes they want to be kitty cats. Hamster is an odd choice, but she’ll likely grow out of it.”
