Cat Plans to Hibernate in Shopping Bag
by Anna Washenko, FluffPo Correspondent
As the first cold snap of the seasons reached residents of the Northeastern United States last week, one Baltimore-area cat has begun preparations to hibernate. Jamie, a three year old kitty from the Oldtown neighborhood, has vowed that he will not deal with another snowy season, and will stay inside his paper bag cave until the spring thaw.
“I told him cats aren’t meant to hibernate, but he just won’t listen,” said close confidante Cristy Chebert. “I know he has the sleeping part down pat, but I think he’s going to want to spend time in other places this winter: cardboard boxes, bowls, maybe even dresser drawers. The bag is really limiting.”

Cat Artist Debuts New Installation
by Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent
Art fans in the Los Angeles area have something new to check out this weekend – the acclaimed artist Ron the cat has just unveiled his latest collection of works. Scheduled for display until late March, the installation showcases just some of the pop art that Ron has become renowned for.
“Most people think pop art is a 60’s thing,” says modern art critic Norman Freese. “Warhol and Lichtenstein certainly led the way back then, but Ron is blazing the trail for a whole new generation of artists. It’s really exciting.”
Among the works is “Cat Diptych,” a silkscreen painting of none other than Ron himself. The piece is expected to fetch a high sum at auction.
“Ron’s works are highly valued in the contemporary art market,” says Freese. “These pieces will likely net six figures each – though I doubt they’ll command the price ‘Tuna Fish Cans’ did. That thing made a killing.”
