Chipmunk Triathlete Accused of Doping
World-class chipmunk triathlete Cheeks Malone, has been accused by the Federation of International Rodent Athletics of using banned performance enhancing substances. Though Malone has yet to test positive for any illegal agent, FIRA indicates that numerous first-hand reports from former teammates and trainers implicate the chipmunk in doping.
“These accusations are baseless and without warrant,” said a spokesperson for Malone. "Cheeks has never knowingly taken any illegal performance enhancers. He is a natural talent who trains hard and competes on his own merits.“
If found guilty by FIRA, Malone could be banned from competing at the Olympics in London later this year, where he plans to represent the United States as a distance runner and cyclist.

Cat Picks Cruise Destination on a Whim
Harold K. Thuman (of the Cambridge Thumans) loves to travel. The cat takes cruises nearly every season, and with autumn on the way, it’s time to get a September voyage on the books.
But Thuman is not a meticulous planner. He leaves his destination to chance by spinning the globe. Where his paw lands is anybody’s guess. This fall he’ll be taking in the lovely sights and sounds of Newark, NJ.

Shiba Pup Inks Six-Figure Endorsement Deal
A Shiba puppy named Marty has locked down a lucrative endorsement deal for Folgers Coffee, according to Adweek.
“It’s over $100K, that much we know,” says business reporter Hugh Kear. “Why Folgers is dropping that much on a puppy is unclear. I mean, sure he’s adorable, but can he sell coffee?”
